Beinchen wollen stehen.
Beinchen wollen gehen,
Sich im Tanze drehen.
Beinchen wollen ruhn.
Beinchen wollen spreizen,
Wollen ihren Reizen
Jegliche Gelegenheit
Geben. Haben jederzeit
Muskulös zu tun.

Beine dick und so und so,
Beine dünn wie Stange.
Alle Beine sind doch froh.

Arme, arme Schlange!

Little legs will stand.
Little legs will go,
Turning in a dance,
Running to and fro.
Little legs extend,
Strutting leggy charm
Every chance they get,
Rarely doing harm,
Muscling they go.
Legs thick, or in-between,
Even scrawny, leggy all.
Many legs are happy.
Alas, poor snakes must crawl!
