Tidbits for Two Clarinets

Tidbits for Two Clarinets- (2024)

Little suites or divertimenti for various small ensembles make for fun, so do I think. Of musical tidbits, this little duo for two players was begun with the notion of setting a tonic major in cooperation with a 'false dominant' at the augmented fourth (or diminished fifth). The first measures then are a "key" to the following little movements. Then at the presto, the opening statement  is "answered" at the region of that augmented fourth -- B flat to E. Thereafter the two players exchange roles and tonalities thereby. From presto to andante and back to presto, this little work passes themes and roles off between the two for the fun of it.
