A fine young organist gave his recital at the Bishop Gadsden chapel, in a series sponsored by them in conjunction with the Charleston chapter of the American Guild of Organists. A theme presented itself in a manner I shall leave to this organist to tell, which involved a cipher applied to a word and creating a short gesture. Ideas for pieces come in many different ways, and this was one such "scherzo."
