Prelude and Fugue on A - (2012) ![](images/01_Little_Green_Dot.gif)
for organ
A lyrical motet-like texture sings out over a long-lined pedal voice in an easy adagio. After the long arches in major, a reflection in the minor follows, the pedal then a punctuation rather than underpinning. A return to the major completes the short prelude.

At a faster tempo, the fugue subject is a pair of sequences -- downward leaps of a fifth -- and answering phrase, accompanied by two lines in manuals and pedal. The answer in the dominant comes at measure 65, and thereafter the fugue plays out with a remembrances cited from the prelude before the final statement.
