I have heard Parks Greene accompany a number of performances under the direction of Nichols Quardokas, at Grace Cathedral, to include of late the Requiem, opus 9, of Duruflé, and most recently Buxtehude's Membra Jesu nostri. The notion to pen a work came while watching him at the portative in that Baroque ensemble, the key, meter and 'form' being his choices after a short conversation after that concert.
