A collection of short interludes begins with chorale-like motet with simple bass line in the pedal/

The next interlude is a lightly decorated melody above a two-voiced accompaniment.

The third is an arch of parallel triads moving into more distant tonal domains.

The fourth is a basic pendulum of two chords, stated and then rising in octaves in a long arch from low to high and back again.

The allegro is jaunty Dorian moment.

The allegretto is of long lines of parallel chords mostly in first inversion.

The adagio explores slow moving harmonic changes.

The presto, with its introduction, is of sets of sextuplet arpeggios mostly spanning six beats, with underlying reference to triple structures and augmentation.

The allegro is a fughetta, becoming a double as the themes meld.
