Little Fugue in D Phrygian - (2015) ![](images/01_Little_Green_Dot.gif)
for organ
The lilt of 6/8 combines with the Phrygian for a subject which stresses the second, then third and then fifth as steps in the grammar of the theme with an falling back marked by a notated turn. The subject is treated in fugue and in canon, with the "pizzicato" pedal also outlining the subject in rhythmic elongation. The opening gesture informs subsequent episodic material.
