Little Fugue in C sharp Locrian - (2015)
for organ
The more unusual mode among the many possible scales is the Locrian, with its diminished fifth of the scale. This particular fugue abandons this as a possible region for the subject's answer, instead placing it in the very normative region perfect fifth relationship. Thus the "dominant" as the secondary region is G sharp. For the scale however, use is made in the subject of the sub-mediant, and then again in episodic materials.
