Elegy and Fugue in A minor - (2015)
for organ
An elegiac progression with slowly descending pedal line as if a ground bass moves through harmonies distant to the tonic. An A A' B A form is at times wholly diatonic and at others chromatic.
The subject echoes the the elegy in its references, and is repeated at the octave before appearing in other domains. A reprise of the elegy leads to the final flourish.
