A simple phrase and its gestures came to mind, after attending a recital by Fancey at St. John's Lutheran in Charleston, Among the works programmed was a representative sample of Fancey's dissertation study of Jan of Lublin, and the organ tablature of that time, prompting me to read and listen to her work. This small work is an appreciation of hers work, and imagined for the simplest of registration and in service to "contemplation.".
