Because I wait for thee - (2019)

A final phrase of a Psalm verse, 25:21 inspires this small meditation in 5/8 time. The whole verse reads: "Let integrity and uprightness preserve me, because I wait for Thee."
After the introductory solo line, a lightly decorated melody in the tenor voice is accompanied by a simple harmonic succession and tonic pedal.
