Arabesque and Fugue in F - (2023)
for organ
In 5/4, the theme of the arabesque is an filigree of four note chords (with added sixth) in the right hand, beginning in the tonic. The shape is generally an extended ABA, a center section moving away from the theme to a canonic section in four voices. The return of the theme is rondo-like as the movement ends.

The fugue is related to the arabesque, another form of filigree so-to-speak. It works out in several domains and with invertible counterpoint for the fun of it.
