Arabesque and Fugue in A flat - (2023)
for organ
A set of nine-measure long melodic variations marked as "gently" sings over a long-pined harmonic rhythm of sustained chords, a tonic pedal beneath. The firs thtree variations are followed by an episode of related gestures, and then return for the fourth.
A short bit of bridge material marked "energetically" breaks the mood, and first statements of the fugue, the complete statement beginning at measure 54.
