Andante lirico and Fugue- (2024)
for organ
An opening, quasi improviso, leads to a long-lined melody over slowly changing harmonies across changing meters and with gentle punctuation in the pedal. Smaller voiced registrations are intended throughout.
The lyric opening moves to a more rhythmic 6/8 fugue rooted on F sharp minor. The accompanying counterpoint has a moment to act as its own imitative moment, as duple is contrasted with triple groupings.
