Concerto for Trumpet and Strings - (2023)
The solo trumpet calls out a piacere and then the strings join in as at measure 9 the first movement's theme is taken up.
A lento centering on B minor as mood and texture break from the joyous rhythmic themes of the first movement answers, with long lines and in hushed tones.
The allegro which follows feature imitation and variation, the theme taken up at measure 236.
