Swingtime and Fugue in G flat major - (2010) ![](images/01_Little_Green_Dot.gif)
for piano
The black key tonality leans towards pentatonic colors, as easily and quickly grasped in the hand. For this some non-harmonic upper and lower neighbors enforce the major tonality. A walking bass underpins the jaunty melody. The fermatas should be seen as longer, in the "wait for it" sort of tongue-in-cheek performance.

The fugue subject is generally a three-voiced Gestalt, and the scheme of tonic and dominant is followed generally throughout. The swing syncopation can be exaggerated as desired by the performer.
