Swingtime and Fugue in C major - (2011) ![](images/01_Little_Green_Dot.gif)
for piano
The prelude features parallel triads in generally simple diatonic motion as the opening gambit, and then in first inversion as accompaniment to a small melodic fragment. "Black note against white note" coloration provides a foil for the "lower neighbor" gestures in the tonic major.

The fugue subject is accompanied from the beginning, and moves between tonic and dominant with episodic material drawn from the prelude as well as a quick dawdling on the subdominant.
