Rosenduft - Lied ohne Worte für Violine und Klavier- (2019) ![](images/01_Little_Green_Dot.gif)
Hiroko und Shigeo Kashiwagi gewidmet
A song without words for violin and piano was suggested by a beautiful bouquet of fragrant roses, brought by friends as they visited for dinner and fine conversation. Many days later, the roses open widely and the fragrance lingers to delight.

A simple set of chord changes based on common tone relationships comprises the accompaniment as the solo voice above sings across the registers of the violin. Lyricism throughout, and after a momentary bout of drama, the lyrical mood ends this work nostalgically.
