Prelude and Fugue on G - (2012) ![](images/01_Little_Green_Dot.gif)
for organ
The jaunty opening gesture alters G major with a Lydian color, after which the relative minor is visited before a return to the tonic then in parallel minor at first and then colored with the C sharp from the earlier Lydian. Scalar passages return to and then away from the tonic major in this short prelude.

The fugue subject adopts both the major and minor third and raised fourth from the prelude's previous statements, and then responds with a simple scalar passage breaking the triple meter into duples for a moment. The answer appears at the dominant, and thereafter the fugue subject is variously combined with statements of the subject from the prelude.
