Prelude and Fugue in G flat major - (2008)
for organ
This short lyrical prelude is composed over an extended tonic pedal in the lower voice in the manuals. Above and beneath the long held G flat, soprano, alto and bass voices rise and fall to meet one another in a pleasant instrumental motet of sorts.
The fugue subject offers the counterpoint a rhythmic duple against triple gesture in short repetitions of the simple subject in the standard tonic and dominant relationships.
