The collection -- Sammlung Koch-Wallner 1935-1937, from the Tiroler Volksliedarchiv of the Tiroler Landesmuseum -- contains hundreds of tunes collected in that era, making a wonderful archive now available online for those interested. Storngly glaciated Zillertal is located in the west of Austria and is the widest of the side valleys on the south side of the Inntal Valley, draining as snows melt into the Ziller River. This Tyrolean tune sings its waltz time in gently rises phrases.
