 This 18th century song is from Lower Brittany, and in text of the "sabots" or wooden shoes of a bygone era, as Perrine returns from a wedding in the woods and the gavotte which was danced there.

 

D'où venez-vous Perrine? / Du moulin du bois d'en haut?
D'où venez-vous Perrine, / Avec vos sabots?
