This children's song -- Two merry geese or Два веселых гуся in Cyrillic-- is sourced by some to Maria Klokova, written in 1927, and others to earlier "folk song" sources without ascription. The "merry geese" live with a grandmother, and as the verses go along, a simple story develops. For this treatment of the melody only, the lyrics are not generally pertinent.
