Little Prelude and Fugue in F sharp minor - (2019) ![](images/01_Little_Green_Dot.gif)
The so-called walking bass underpins a eight-measure arch in the minor. Between melodic, harmonic and chromatic minor, a wealth of opportunities may be explored within a small form.

The fugue subject, at measure 31, is of two voices. The lower is a simple descending chromatic line, and the upper is of the four intervals which spell B-A-C-H, albeit in transposition to the key of course. Both voices also appear independently as the fugue proceeds, through a dense stretto to the final statement.
