Little Prelude and Fugue in E minor - (2019)   

 

Outside voices move in opposition while the fifth of the scale acts as the interior pedal throughout, the sequences being simple extensions in phrase length.

 

 

 

The fugue mirrors the prelude, in an inverse manner, the interior pedal of the tonic remaining as outside notes collapse in towards a cadence. Thereafter the fugue plays out in an expected manner.
