Little Prelude and Fugue in C minor - (2019)
A first gesture shows the relationship of the tenth, soprano to alto as bass to tenor voices lock into a thematic texture (modified by octave displacement for ease of reading). The dominant minor-to-major half cadence yields repeatedly back the the minor seventh of the tonic minor as its resolution.
The fugue mirrors the prelude's reliance on the twelfth, now used in a slightly manner. The parallel chords, as at measure 33 and thereafter, also include the interval, now filled with light diatonic polytonal colors.
