Little Fugue in D Ukrainian Dorian - (2015)

The Dorian altered by raising the fourth is known as Ukrainian Dorian, as well as other names like Romanian. The melodic functions and their harmonic tendencies are a fine palette for counterpoint. The subject spans a diminished 5th and appears in a larger gestalt and accompanied by a "pizzicato" bass line.
