Fugue for Sixes - (2013) ![](images/01_Little_Green_Dot.gif)
for piano
The intervals of the sixth used in harmonic and melodic fashion fit into a 6/8 meter, the fugue subject as at measure 10 and beyond. For its opening F to A leap, the first answer in the fugue lifts into the region of A before an appearance in the dominant. The subject accompanies itself at the interval of the tenth as well in a touch of bitonality, and appears in stretti at two measures duration as well as at the half measure. Rubato is suggested of course as the interpreter sees appropriate.
